Nintendo Switch 2's Summer Lineup Is Stacked — Here's Every Confirmed Game Through August

Splatoon Raiders just got its date. The summer calendar is filling in. And Nintendo's second-generation hybrid console is heading into its most content-rich stretch since launch. Here is the complete confirmed Nintendo Switch 2 lineup from now through August — organized, explained, and rated by how much you should care.

Confirmed: Now — April

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream (April 16) — Already out and performing well. The life sim sequel earned an 80 on Metacritic and strong community reception for being exactly what fans spent 13 years asking for. Available on Switch 1 and Switch 2.

Pragmata (April 17) — Capcom's sci-fi action game with the hacking-plus-shooting combat system is confirmed for Switch 2 with exclusive Mega Man armour sets. One of the best games of the year, full stop.

Vampire Crawlers (April 21) — Poncle's deckbuilding dungeon crawler spinoff runs smoothly at 60fps in handheld mode, per early coverage. A natural fit for portable play.

May

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book (May 21) — The first Yoshi game in seven years. Side-scrolling platformer with the franchise's signature handcrafted art style. Designed for all ages, with genuine depth in collectible hunting for completionists.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (May 12) — Machine Games' acclaimed action-adventure, previously Xbox and PC, finally arrives on Switch 2. The game earned strong reviews at original launch; this is the platform expansion that broadens its audience significantly.

Mixtape (May 7) — The narrative road trip game from ex-Dontnod developers. Story-focused, music-driven, and the kind of intimate indie experience the Switch library consistently excels at.

June

Forza Horizon 6 — Confirmed "later" for PS5, but the Xbox and PC launch on May 19 may be followed by a Switch 2 announcement during summer showcase season. Not confirmed for Switch 2 specifically, but the pattern of recent Xbox releases arriving on the platform suggests watch this space.

007: First Light (May 28) — IO Interactive's James Bond origin story. Lana Del Rey wrote and performed the theme. The Switch 2 version has been confirmed with a slight delay from the original March 26 Epic Games Store release — the Switch 2 version is "later this summer."

July

Rhythm Heaven Groove (July 2) — Nintendo's beloved rhythm game series returns for the first time in years. The Switch 2's audio capabilities and the franchise's signature quirky absurdist presentation make this a natural fit.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced (July 9) — Multiplatform but Nintendo platforms are confirmed. The ground-up remake of the 2013 pirate adventure launches with ray tracing, reworked missions, and new content.

Splatoon Raiders (July 23) — Confirmed today. Nintendo's first dedicated Splatoon spinoff is single-player focused with optional four-player co-op. $50 digital / $60 physical. Three new Deep Cut amiibo releasing alongside.

Upcoming — Unconfirmed Dates

The Duskbloods (2026) — FromSoftware's Switch 2 exclusive remains one of the platform's most anticipated titles. No date beyond "2026" has been confirmed, but summer or fall positioning seems likely given how Nintendo's first-party calendar has been structured.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave (2026) — The next mainline Fire Emblem is confirmed for Switch 2 this year. Still awaiting a specific date.

Star Fox — Multiple credible leakers have suggested a Star Fox Switch 2 announcement this month. Nothing official yet, but the Nintendo Today app has been the distribution channel for recent surprise announcements. Watch it.

Third-Party Wave

Beyond Nintendo's first and second-party slate, the Switch 2 is receiving a significant wave of third-party titles across the summer. Confirmed arrivals include:

  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (May 12)
  • Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (June 3)
  • Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 (August 27)
  • Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred (later in 2026)
  • Starfield (likely, per rating board filing)

The Switch 2's summer is looking like a genuine statement of intent from Nintendo. A strong first-party cadence, a wave of meaningful third-party arrivals, and the ongoing question of what the Nintendo Direct slate will reveal before the year's end.

If you're on the fence about a Switch 2 purchase, the period from May through August is the best window the platform has had since its hardware launch.
